Wishing all of you a happy, safe, and healthy New Year!

And in the spirit of the holiday season, Cookie is offering a 50% discount to all humans (and @Ripper2860 ) on her first publication, the illustrated Definitive Feline Guide to Chairs. But act quickly.....supplies are limited.

Is that the sequel to the best selling and ghost-written: So, you want to sit here and listen to your music? 'F' YOU! trilogy? 🙄

Thank you, I think. **

BTW -- I was reading an interesting article today centered around...

Q: Does reality only exist when observed?

A: Quantum mechanics suggests that reality doesn't even exist in a definitive state independent of observation. It's as if the act of observation brings reality into existence.

Given this, then it seems that you can just ignore them/us, as only the reality you observe exists for you. Of course, I could be wrong given that I've had a few beers this evening and this quantum mechanics stuff is pretty complex. :smirk:

** Still sorting out if the reference to me and @bcowen is a complement or an indication that you believe our affliction is congenital and not the result of taking something.
yes

You guys are getting close.:

A pair of Tyrs at the bottom, a Sol on top, a Yggy, Freya+, Urd, Loki Max, Mjolnir 3, and the upcoming tube phono stage in the middle. Of course you may need a forklift to move it, but everyone has one in the garage, right? 🤣
My parents had a more modern, less rococo, looking console unit like that, on which I first listened to albums and FM. Even years later, it still sounded good. Tubes of course.

Happy New (tube) Year!

My wife is out for the day with the pups at a canine agility competition, the chores are done, so today is being spent in my reading chair (with a good novel) beside my main Schiit stack. So far it’s been John Hiatt’s “The Eclipse Sessions” and Neil Young’s “Archives Vol II”.

The Gungnir Multibit has made a massive positive difference in the listening experience. So much detail, separation, & clarity; and with the Freya N in tube stage, Piety, and Sundara cans, Neil young’s electric guitar has that tubey warmth that can’t be beat. I listened to Hiatt via the Asgard 3. The Gungnir made it sound like I was hearing the album for the first time. In many ways, I was. Fine tuned things a touch with the Lokius, and It was perfect. It was like I was in the room with the band. Each instrument had its own space, the tone nice and cozy warm. Bliss.

Well, it's not New Year's in Vienna...........
IMG_20231231_152124116~2.jpg

but it's all we got in Florida.

Plus, there's something wrong with the band.... it's not ear splitting loud all the time! :) Is that dynamics?

As the sun slowly arcs higher in the sky each day warming the Northern Hemisphere here's to hoping less schiit hits the fan this side of the equator in 2024 than 2023 and more Schiit hits the market!

One can hope!

Cheers :beerchug:

Wow, maybe I am a little slow as the end of the year draws near, but reading the last few pages here makes me want some of whatever these people are taking (not including Ripper and BCowen of course). Most of the posts suggest to me that I might be living on an entirely different planet/plane than most of the rest of you. Here's hoping reality makes a come back in the new year!
Welcome to the circus, @JanMc {{{like the raven or corvid image... smart birds!}}}. This is the usual chatter. Go to the following sine wave to predict the nonsense...
