Sitting down with a real AB test its often picking at straws...

Modi MB2 is indeed awesome, recently feed to Vidar 2 without any Pre"amp" but an RK27 attenuator instead, it sounds even better.

battery power?

I probably should pick up yet another high-end UPS and plug the stack into it. I do have a purported power conditioning and surge-suppressing power bar there now.

@bcowen can help with the virgins. He still keeps in touch with his ex-girlfriends. 😏

** Sorry, Bill. I couldn't help myself and you know its because I love you, man! 😄
I’m saving myself for marriage.

And sit tight on the Milk of the Muses. I may have an angle on that. Won’t be cheap though….

All Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields/Neville Marriner recordings of 20th classics for $9.25! https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/7996044--marriner-the-academy-20th-century-classics

I found this killer deal looking for their recording of Bartók's Music for strings, percussion, and celesta and Divertimento, which I have in an unfortunately too-scratched vinyl, and always really liked. The digital remaster of those originals came together with 9 discs (Stravinsky, Prokofieff, Hindemith, Sibelius, Shostakovich, Webern, ...) in a big Zip file. Happy Christmas listening!

There are really great pieces of music in that collection, and some (Stravinsky's Apollon musagète) that aren't recorded very often. It's funny that I associate Marriner and ASMF with early Romantic music at the latest, and mostly with classical and baroque music (eg. Bach, Mozart, earlier Beethoven). Thanks for the pointer!
