Oh, and some new photography is up.

That silver Mjolnir 3 is so stylish! If the rest of the gear around my Mjolnir 3 wasn't all black or dark colors, I'd be very tempted to order a silver top.

I thought you were being serious, and... Not having gazillions to spend, I decided to see if I could DIY such a wonderful invention for Schiit money... or maybe less.
....
Merry Christmas
Cool beans! Do you think it'll make much difference to keep a diary of sonic effect as the resin hardens over time?

Merry Christmas! only 5 to go before goodies! (remember, the 12 days of Christmas start after Christmas Day)

Funny thing is that I did walk to HS both ways, every day, in the rain and snow. (But not uphill). Although after people got cars I’d get rides from various classmates who would drive through the neighborhood to get to school.
Me, too! Except my house was halfway up a hill and the HS was half way down a hill so I really did go uphill both ways :-D

I was originally going to do this but turns out my black MJ3 and my black Linn look so good together.

Oh, do I ever…

If you’re fine with cheap affordable things that may or may not do much, the filters that Emotiva makes are pretty decent.
Emotiva CMX-2 definitely works to remove DC offset that causes some transformers to hum.

Just curious if any of you use Urd into the Holo May KTE? Before I pull the trigger on the URD, I'd really like to know which USB cables perform well with the May. I did do a search through the 8874 pages of this thread but I didn't turn anything up. (PS: I think 8874 pages is the largest thread I have ever seen on any website since the beginning of the WWW )
I use Schiit Pyst USB cables from my NAA endpoints (mini PCs with Intona USB isolators) to my Holo DACs (May KTE and Spring 2 KTE). No reason to use anything else, the Pyst cables always worked for me and the Holo USB receivers are well-designed.

Thanks for your recommendation. The Schiits sound like a winner.

Sorry, I just realized the Urd uses USB-C, and so you need something that goes to USB-C to USB-B, not USB-A to USB-B (my case).

No quantum tunneling. Each dot is cryo-treated and double quantum funnel-caked. Plus they're only $8.59 at Office depot for 768 of them. High priced and snake-oily plain ole quantum tunneling is sooo yester-year.

Pro tip: Firmly adhere one on your speaker's tweeter and those harsh and sibilant highs are totally gone. The difference is night and day!!

As long as it's not a sauce from Carolina

Y'all had a car!? Opulence!! At 6 years old, I had to pull our entire obese family of 6 to the NC BBQ pits in an off-brand Fred Ryder wagon with square wooden blocks for wheels, uphill on winding mountain roads paved with broken glass -- all while bare-footed with open weeping sores on the soles of my feet and suffering from chronic pink-eye! :unamused:

Just sent a family Christmas box from Alberta to BC (it's Wednesday the 20th as I type - I'm a few days behind 😐😐😐😐). FedEx quoted $432 for overnight express, i.e. 2 day delivery to get there by 5 pm Friday 22nd. That was a bit rich for my blood for what was a 19lb box. I drove to the nearest Canada Post Office and the clerk apologized that it would cost me $84. Same express delivery for Friday, but no "by 5" promise.

Double-u. Tee. Eff.
.
The USPS lost 6.5 billion in 2023. Canadian Post lost 653 million in the first 3 quarters of 2023.

FedEx rate was actual, minus the government rape of it's taxpayers.

Thank Canadian socialism for a better rate.

Screw the tweeter! Put the dots in your ears! Plus, being funnel-caked, they’ll make short work of any earwax! Better sound!

🤔 … that’s not SAGA, that’s NK launching an ICBM to US … [retaliation by ultra-high intensity waves of MManson 😈]

The 5692 tubes looks lackluster at night. The top getter is getting in the way of the glow :frowning2:

Amazing. I used to listen to the show back when, in the late 90's early 2k's. I haven't listened to radio in 20+ years. A big music library, and cheap recording media, first CD's, then SSD's, then streaming, enabled me to never again listen to anything not to my taste (and no commercials, ever).

The downside: I only listen to my taste. I used to listen to a wide range on the radio. I'm probably missing out.
This is why I got Qobuz and Roon. To listen to new stuff that 50-year-old me wouldn’t otherwise hear.
