Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Is it possible to power the LS50 Meta with a single Gjallarhorn for near-filed desktop or would a dual mono config work better, or is that asking too much of such a small amp? KEF states the speaker's ohm rating is 8 but that doesn't track when looking at the graph. It looks more like 4 ohms.
KEF LS50M owner here. I tried the Gjallarhorn with them. Yes, they are 4 Ohms. It sounded great! Please note, that I have the BR plugs in and using a subwoofer.

Another observation...

In my 2 channel speaker room, I just pulled my listening chair away from the back wall about 6" and the difference is pretty noticeable. It really locked in what I thought was an already solid center stage. Also eliminated a peak in upper mids that while narrow was annoying at times.

TLDR - Never underestimate the value of small changes to one's listening position. It's a game of inches.

What I took away from this:

@Ripper2860 went looking for small change in the furniture cushions and happened to move his chair in the process. Rather than expend the energy to put it back, he came up with this pronouncement.

I got a lot of questions about FokYu who came to live with me after Constanza went to the Eternal Hunting Fields.
Here she is.
As you can see I had to endanger my life to take the picture.

The cost to cryo treat that is going to be enormous. I mean, you *are* going to do a cryo treatment, right? Or have I assumed incorrectly your audiophile credentials are still in good standing? I'm sure you already wrote yourself a sticky note so you don't forget the contact enhancer. 🤣

You are correct. I was looking for money under the cushions. I am now only $1,698.77 away from purchasing an Yggy + GS2. :unamused:

Unfortunately, it is dictated by the Wife Acceptance Factor.

Look at it this way, you're $2698.77 away from purchasing the fully loaded Yggy+ OG. Start looking in the floorboards of your car, behind/under all the furniture etc.

No need to cryo treat that cable, as the forced oil insulation and cooling system keeps the conductors at a constant temperature. The contact enhancer is unnecessary since we will weld all of the connections.

FTFY.

:-O ! now to find an amp that can put out 2.5GW and a speaker than can consume that.
I think Quads for the latter, for sure.
I think Back to the Future's got us covered on both accounts.
