Hey all you Schiitheads, just wanted to say I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. And for those outside the US of A who don't celebrate, hope you also have lots to be thankful for regardless.
I'm thankful for this forum, where I can come to be entertained, even when life is too full to contribute much. So, thanks to you all, and to our gracious, wallet-punishing (but not too much) host!
The Wayback Machine is handy... I can go back and read about how awesome my new to me DAC will be! If it was all that and a bag of chips then, it doesn't mean it sucks now. Don't hate the playa... hate the nervosa game.
jeez, what kind of self-serving nonsense is this. Have a back bone, man. If you have a DAC you like then live with it! I hope your rant is kidding around.
Sadly, I’m one of those audiophiles that likes to try new things and see if I can get more performance for my money. With the new Yggy+ chassis I was somewhat but not fully tempted. OG was always a temptation partly because of fomo but the price held me back. Then I got a raise at work. And then I caved.
This is a very interesting album, but of course, YMMV.
Sound quality seems to be deliberately "messed with" in places...
That overdriven bass synth in "How Were We to Know" is almost painful.

It isn't just you. Really a great track and yet they were never even a one hit wonder if I remember right (NB: I just looked it up out of curiosity and they did hit number 49 with There She Goes in the US and number 13 in the UK on a rerelease of the single when their full album came out. So, a oneish hit wonder.)
