Nope, slight delay--it'll be a Halloween/November 1 release date. Put it down to Jason's Law: any date I give is wrong.
as someone who owns a OG+ it was worth every god damn dollar, I will be curious to see what the newest iteration adds. It's like a marriage. Be loyal. Don't cheat.
If your Yggy OG (2023) is the only Yggy you ever listen to, it will always be the best damn yggy you ever heard.
You're welcome.
My wedding anniversary is Valentine's Day -- 2 birds | 1 stone.
I just put in my order for the Hel+! I have the Fulla E at the moment, so that will go to my office setup permanently, and the Hel+ will be with my main rig at our apartment second bedroom that's just our office. I'm really excited to see how I enjoy the Hel+ against the Fulla E (which I think is amazing for what it does). I thought about getting a schiit stack, like magni+ and modi+ but I think Hel+ will serve my needs without the big wall warts, and I already have a good schiit stack for critical listening at my listening station (Asgard 3 + Modius E). I'll be updating in this thread once the Hel+ comes in and I have time to do some listening while writing.Hel+ is awesome. Not sure if placebo, but I feel like it sounds slightly better than the Hel 2e. Perhaps the redesign came with some sonic improvements.
The USB ports are definitely improved, way more solid with no more wiggle.
Have you tried the Skoll without the SUT?That sounds like good advice @adias, based on my limited understanding!
With both Mani 2 and Skoll, the THD and SNR figures deteriorate rapidly as gain is increased.
As Jason has already pointed out, Skoll does not measure as well as Mani 2, so those numbers are not a good predictor of sound quality.
However, phonostages are dealing with tiny, delicate signals, especially with Low Output MC carts.
It is therefore a challenge to design low noise, low distortion and high SNR amplifiers which also sound good when running at 60 or 70dB gain.
Maybe Jason has cracked it

As someone who has the non-plus OG, I agree completely. But I got it on closeout, and I figure I'll wait to upgrade it to the plus chassis until my warranty is almost over, since that'll give me a 2-year extension.as someone who owns a OG+ it was worth every god damn dollar, I will be curious to see what the newest iteration adds.
The non-plus OG is a spectacular piece of kit. I know this first hand.As someone who has the non-plus OG, I agree completely. But I got it on closeout, and I figure I'll wait to upgrade it to the plus chassis until my warranty is almost over, since that'll give me a 2-year extension.
