Curious in the Midgard write-up:

Runs lightly warm...does this mean we are running in Class A bias at all, or just the basic design of an amp that
can produce 5 watts of power under certain loads?

Alex
Had a good chuckle yesterday at the Tungsten reference. In the words of the Project Farm dude "We're gonna test that!"

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but I bet this topic is gonna come up.........

Now that we have the Midgard.......... are we getting a Modius Multibit eventually?????? :stuck_out_tongue: (Might need a new name too)

Like you know....... maybe you feel constrained by the space/size/budget of Modi chassis and wish you have more room/space to work with, does this sound familiar......?????? LOL
Hey, it’s bad enough when one says “like you know” … too see that in print 🤢

@Jason Stoddard -- any chance of adding a pic of the remote for Skoll to the gallery?

Jason will thank you if the product announcement is wrong and is corrected. You will be adamantly scorned by many if it is the web price that is wrong and corrected. :D
😬 Call it an early adopter or pre-order discount. 🤷‍♂️

@Jason Stoddard , just a quick note. The Schiit press release says Midgard sells at $229, but the website has it listed at $219.

Yep, I'll get it fixed.

Would it be OK to stack Skoll in between a Bifrost and Jotunheim (w/ Jot obviously on top) or will that generate too much heat for Skoll?

Heat-wise it's fine, but you might get hum from the transformers inside Bifrost and Jotunheim. Skoll is still sensitive to magnetic fields.

Skoll probably runs warmer than either Bifrost or Jotunheim--it runs significantly warmer than Midgard, for example.

Whats the reason the Midgard has XLRs and not Pentacon 4.4mm? Is that the shorting of channels when you insert the plug needs extra circuits for protection or...

I'm really a fan of 4.4 Pentacon and buy on my cables in the format...really good for mobile and desktop use, just a short connector to convert to single ended or XLR when needed.
There are Pentacon to 4-pin XLR adapters out there. Just leave the adapter plugged in to the XLR socket and then you can swap your Pentacon cable as desired.
Hope this helps...

Pretty easy to find XLR > 4.4 adapters...

Any in to any out is fine!

Hi Jason. So then what happens with a single ended signal input if you use the balance outputs to a balanced amp....does it convert? Is there any difference

Thanks
