... The soundstage is is not in the same ballpark. It totally collapses in comparison (LIM eddition). ...
Looked like a 2ch setup? When you say "collapses", can you be a bit more geometric about what "collapsing" means?

Someday I may want to upgrade Gumby OG -> Yggy but I'm not sure I'll hear the difference enough to make it a rational action :)

I already invested $120 for the Pi. It works well enough. Not perfect but well enough. The next step up is the Node but I find them overpriced. The Pi does pretty much the same thing for 1/6 the price.

I’m intrigued about Urd despite the price. I can plug both my Mac and my Pi into it and play cds and seamlessly run each one through my Yggy. I like the dedicated cd drive. I also have lots of respect for Mike and team for being bold enough to make it happen. If someone can recreate the same performance and feature set for 1/6 the price I might go there. But probably not. It’s more money than I’d like to spend but then again, it just feels like the better value. To each their own. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I wasn’t going to Urd, either. And then one turned up in B-stock, and caved. And am ever so glad I did. I run my ripped library via Squeezebox server through a Pi, which now runs through Urd (which can also play my overabundant stock of CDs. And it sounds wonderful.

Charcoal is the way to go! Charcoal is like the Yggy of grilling and smoking. Gas or electric is like a delta sigma DAC. Not even in the same ballpark. Everything is better with charcoal!
My aunt used to make used to make her own charcoal both to sell and for proper lechón asado...

Then again, her hot sauce could eat holes in concrete.

There’s a very short list of audio-related actions that can even come close to being in the same ballpark with “rational”…

Exactly so, it's, rightfully, an emotionally driven hobby.

HST, I would like at least a fig leaf of an excuse to spend enough to feed families when my Gumby sounds so SO good.

There’s no security patches with stand-alone single purpose streamers. Does someone want to hack my Nucleus?
It depends, Those based on well-supported Linux distros do get distro security patches -- at least if the packagers are diligent.

Agreed! I’m on my third Webber and that after 30+ years of marriage and grilling year round in Wisconsin.

Couldn’t find any pics of grilling but nothing like a local butcher and a 2" thick Porter House! I’ve also taken over Thanksgiving and now smoke turkeys each year.

It will be A difficult conversation when my Weber gets taken away from me.

I should clarify that I’m a charcoal only griller.
As one should be. I’d say “must”, but that would light a different fire, wouldn’t it?

Less width and depth by a large margin. I don’t know to what extent you would gain from Gumby. MMB2 easy, 2/64 yes, but closer. I am guessing Gumby gets even closer. Have you swapping to MMB2 to see what you lose?

Wood is where it is at if you want the best flavor. I grill and BBQ over wood exclusively. Woodfire pizza and smashed grilled potatoes dang near require wood to reach thier full potential.
