Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

........................right.........so if I want a Schiit product I can just buy another external transformer that I have to be sure is of high quality to not impact the sound, dopuble up on mains cables and also make sure the frequency matchs, which the base does not. All because Schiit a popular online(international) audio company in 2023 cant wind transformers for the rest of the world when even the smallest chinese company can.

(rechecking my own fingers) We're both wrong. I meant #3.

You need the SNS grills accessories for the Weber. It takes it up another level of performance.
The slow 'n sear bit? Looks like banking your coals on one side to sear. Does using their thing rather than just putting coals on one side make a difference? Love my Weber kettle, but doing more with the Kudu for larger groups.

On a completely different note, when the power was out and Tropical Storm Harold was done, we went for a walk.

Sometimes it's fine to unplug.

Dang, Jason...save some good photographic opportunities for the rest of us.🙄 You go for a walk on the beach and end up snapping something straight out of a Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

I do indirect heat. I push the coals to either side of the grill and never had a problem. I know what he's talking about but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.

I already invested $120 for the Pi. It works well enough. Not perfect but well enough. The next step up is the Node but I find them overpriced. The Pi does pretty much the same thing for 1/6 the price.

I’m intrigued about Urd despite the price. I can plug both my Mac and my Pi into it and play cds and seamlessly run each one through my Yggy. I like the dedicated cd drive. I also have lots of respect for Mike and team for being bold enough to make it happen. If someone can recreate the same performance and feature set for 1/6 the price I might go there. But probably not. It’s more money than I’d like to spend but then again, it just feels like the better value. To each their own. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The slow n sear gives you much more consistent cooking temps and control. Great for long cooks. The easy spin grate and plancha are great too.

Did that for Sol.
Use a single phase in, single phase out VFD and a step down transformer.
VFD $ 60,00 - $ 100,00. Transformer $ 30,00 - $ 50,00.
I like what the old industrial plants would do, hook a 10 pole and 12 pole motor-generator set together for 50-60 Hz conversion, or whatever ratio needed to swap frequencies.

My daughter and her husband as well as my son all said I was a "total Ron Swanson". I still have not watched the show they said this character was on. Not a big fan of TV shows, or at least "new" TV shows. Perhaps I should?

ORT
Sounds like something Ron Swanson would say
