Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I've found that a platonic relationship with my checking account is best as it typically is here today and gone tomorrow when it comes to Schiit.

Actually I appreciate it.. on busier days I have 3-5 pages to go through after classes are done
See, there's your mistake. Why are you waiting until after class to read this Schiit?

Between MJ3 and the Modhouse Tungsten my credit card is on fire.
I don't put stuff in my credit card, but I'll deceive myself with the Paypal Pay in 4. It stings less even if it's exactly the same. 😄

The students get anxious if I'm not there... lol

Out of curiosity I looked up the Pay in 4 and it does not seem too bad. 0% and can be used with a debit card. But the monthly with an APR at up to 35.99%...?! Wow.

Kudos to Schiit for not having this stuff on their checkout pages. It seems to be everywhere these days.

I'm looking at a new DAC and shopPay is featured. 15% sample APR... $664 in interest on a $8k DAC that has a street price of just north of 5k. Talk about a depreciating asset as soon as it's off the lot. I thought this only happened with cars lol.

Was perusing the Schiit “current deals” and noticed that the Modius is available as b-stock and close out. Did I miss something? Is the Modius E being updated or phased out?
I assume those are old akm chip modius with the micro usb inputs. I have seen b-stock modius e listed as “modius e” on the deals page in the past.

Looks like they found some old stock around, may be a good pickup for those turned off by ess chips. (Although I will say the modius e sounds fantastic and not to judge it off its chip).

Ah, could be. I own the akm Modius and like it and agree it would be a good pickup for someone looking for the akm version.

Yup. It's a lot of DAC for the price. I love mine!

I used to own the AKM Modius but then I bought the new Modi Multibit 2. Such a huge improvement over the Modius! Do yourself a favor and listen to the MM2!

Been debating if I should pickup a Multibit dac. I have been eyeing the Bifrost, used or the new 2/64. Haven’t committed but now that you mention it, might add the MM2 to my potential list.
