~40 years ago I had a job that paid me once a week, and the nearby liquor store would cash a paycheck with $5 purchase. Guess how much a 6 pack of Anchor Steam cost!

Now that they're gone, I regret not grabbing one last sixer of Anchor Porter when I had the chance. Yum...

Optical is handy to have and I use it.

However, I have never had any success sending 24/192 over it other than a time or two a momentary stuttering on four different Schiit DACs as well as others.

Ah well, 24/96 is just fine and dandy as are old fashioned CD's.

I play 24/192 often using optical cable between Oppo BD105 and Ayre Codex DAC. No problems at all. Just use a decent cable.

I wonder how the Schiit Urd is compared to the much smaller NuPrime transports.
Does anyone have any?

No. The schiit unison USB in URD only does one thing - really well - send and receive USB audio data streams.

Do you have some of those 45rpm single track CDs?

Seriously, the URD can output a 192kHz, 32 bit stream on USB, but only from the two USB inputs, not from the CD transport. Unless... you have one of those 24/192 45rpm CDs
