Definitely...Almost 3X the thrust of a Saturn V. That's gonna leave a mark, and it really did. Holy cow. It's a MESS there.
Correct: "The flight termination system was commanded on both the booster and ship."I'm also guessing the RUD was intentionally triggered once it was realized it was a lost cause and not because of some failure.
It'll buff out !Definitely...

I LITERALLY laughed out loud! It'll buff out !
Wow, nice picture. And that was a fancy high temperature-resistant concrete they went to after one of the engine tests blew chunks of the original pad all over the place. The hole, apparently, is 45 feet deep... No WONDER there was so much damage to the rocket! And it still flew.Definitely...

This will be fun to see how they repair it, those are some large piles that saw loading there were not supposed to see, but whoever did the staircase on the left leg did a good job - appears perfectly functional, but the last step is now a doozy. Depending on time to next launch, it might be a Canaveral launch because I don't see this being a quick fix, but at least the excavation for the flame trench is mostly done.Definitely...

I know the cardboard looked good and all, but you really should have taken it out of the shipping box.Almost burned down my house. You'll be hearing from my attorney.![]()
It developed a problem (at 20 years old) that wasn’t Ripper’s fault at all, difficult as that is to state publicly.Did it really catch on fire?
That would be very unsettling!
What's the big deal?!This will be fun to see how they repair it
