Many years ago, I tried various Hafler Matrix systems. Adding a mono center, and or adding the -L/-R surrounds. Mainly for music. The surrounds were very effective, but entirely dependant on the quality of the stereo recording. So, I look forward to your results and reactions, especially after playing with Width and Presence. Should be fun. 😃

I'm going to start with The Doors, The Who and Pink Floyd.

The French copy no one, and no one copies the French.

I think that what you were thinking of was the Renault Avantime, which actually looks like Citroen copied it backwards:

French only copy the French.
In Renault's defense: The Avantime looked absolutely gorgeous in real life, especially considering that it came out 22 years ago. An acquaintance of mine owned one.

He also owned a Renault Sport Spider (and his was one without the windscreen, which was legal back then in Germany).

Roxy Music "Avalon" is another fantastic recording, for showcasing a stereo image. One of the few recordings I've found, where properly set up speakers, threw a soundfield wider than the speakers. Erie...! 🙃

Interesting choice of words...But then again you do have a good "command" of the English language. And it's not native to you, correct?

Do they make you use their shipping for return or did you provide your own label.
They gave me an address and I took it to a shipping store and shipped it to them. I paid shipping both ways.

Napoleon had a good run tho' !!
It's a tired old joke, but there's a special place in heaven for French cooks, Italian lovers, German engineers, and British soldiers, while there there's a special place in hell for French mechanics, Italian soldiers, German lovers and British cooks.

Also, some wonderful transducers come from the Republique, to say nothing of the wine.
