I keep buying more gear but it just keeps sounding schittier

It's nice to see a very familiar amp and meter box all safe and sound. That top shelf looks like spalted maple.

Supposedly pine, but I'm pretty clueless on that. I just cut it to size and stained it.
Well done, I like the looks of your setup. That is obviously a quality Melz tube in the Incubus.

That's good for single subwoofer integration etc.

Multiple subwoofers is both more challenging and somewhat position independent.

Commercially available via AudioKinesis SWARM system.

I've used Geddes method quite successfully (and quite time-consuming!).
That’s what I like about the method I linked, the other adjustments go very quickly once you’ve got the sub volume nailed down.

I’ve seen the swarm systems before, and they are very impressive! My listening room is only 155 square feet, so even 1 medium sized sub takes up some space. I’m not sure about having 2 in my small room, but I haven’t completely ruled it out either. I think…..

Also I need to do get around to installing the Birdseye panels to the phono pre you sent over, they look to be a good match.
I get so busy I forgot all about those. I was hoping they were a match, if not I certainly tried.

JBL does not specify at one watt. They are rated at (2.83V@1m) 86dB. Which would be one watt if they were an 8 ohm speakers, but they are 6 ohm nominal impedance. So they would be 86dB @1m with 1.5 watts I'm guessing?
As good a guess as I made, yes. :sunglasses:

I was playing with the Room Eq Wizard room simulator this morning to see if adding a 3rd subwoofer location would address a mode I have at 50Hz.

Give that a go. It's not 100% accurate but fun to play with. I think it's Toole or Welti that simulated 5,000 subs in a room. Haven't managed to type those all in yet!
