Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Now I want a McIntosh🤪🤪
Honestly though, I prefer point to point wiring, much more labor intensive and less likely for issues down the road especially when you roll a lot of tubes.
You could always make (a better) one with your skills...

Ms. Peterson was the Schiit, it's too bad that horror hosts are not as popular as they once were. As a kid (when the earth was cooling) I remember we chillens were off the street when these broadcasts were airing along with Batman, Lost in Space, Green Hornet , The Munsters, The Addams Family and many others. Some had cool theme songs;

A hyper to many horror hosts;
and let's not forget the great but never late Count Floyd;

I have made a few, I have my preferences on internal wiring of course. Years ago I went through a six week soldering course that Kester presented so I tend to do ok.🤪 Time is what I lack. PrimaLuna meets my needs in a tube power amp.

Today I heard a couple DAC’s that should match up well, late tomorrow I will discover the brands and models.😉😉

Hype aside, don't think I've ever been able to try things (surprising full working functions), tear down, and add to so effectively / quickly!

Now, what do y'all think of HiFi Rose? VU meters and gears!

P.S. Just noticed, also looks like it can make toast! :)
Eight slices no less! Now that’s the hallmark of a real power amp! But where do I fry the eggs? 🤪

LOL! There's a slide-out tray for eggs (and bacon....never forget the bacon!) on the back, right next to the power switch. But you can only use it during the 10% of dead time, so you'll have to plan breakfast accordingly. 🤣

Keep it up and I will tell Finnegan to stop guarding your cardboard supply.🤪🤪🤪
That's harsh. Fine. I take back some of everything I said. 🤣

has anyone A/B'd mimby OG vs modi multibit 2? USB as the main comparison source.

edit, looking for any excuse to buy one... :)

Managed to do a comparison of my old-vs-new stack comparison. Switched to black finishing and as a result bought an entirely new stack (MM2 + Magni 3+). Old stack was a Magni 3 + MM1 (version 1 firmware). Allowed the MM2 to be turned on for 6 hours before listening.

Couldn't do an A/B comparison as I sold my old stack before the new ones came in. But listening to my reference tracks (against a HD6xx) and there is a very notable difference. The new stack is a tad less warm, much greater dynamic range, more attack(?) and a quieter noise floor. Apologies for the limited audio vocabulary. Obviously I won't be able to attribute if the differences are from the DAC, amp (or both) but jargon aside it made my music a lot more enjoyable.
