It isnt a device but the free HiBy music player app does a wonderful job of making my headphones image like my big rig. Sometimes I take the headphones off becuase I think the sound is coming from the main system. There are 2 different included plug-ins and you can experiment with the sliders until you get what you're listening for.

Any suggestions for a device (Magni-sized, preferably) that can move the stereo image from outside my head to in front, where it belongs?
Currently the sound is coming from right where my migraines start ;-(

I use it with both of my Echobox Explorer's because while I cannot hear any difference from before I can hear my music. It looks cooler than the player that came with the Explorer too!

It used to be Relocated, but that was a long time ago so maybe Retired is more applicable now. CARY is pretty much part of Raleigh these days....hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

You should ask @Deyan to make you a one-piece adapter. Naked pins cause my OCD to flare up.

Hi. I've been using a Modi 3 for a few years now and thinking about upgrading. I've had my sight set on a Modius but reading now that the latest Modi+ is said to contain many of the same parts as more expensive products. So now I'm wondering if there are still any significant advantages to getting a Modius in terms of sound over the Modi+. Also remember reading somewhere that Jason mentioned something about a "secret sauce", curious about that as well. Any advice is appreciated on which direction I should consider. I tend to prefer details and transparency with a bit of a punch in the low end. Thanks.

I have a Modius with the ESS chip and a new Modi +. I’m using them for different things and in different houses, but my gut tells me I like the Modi + a little better.
If you can swing $300 though I think I would go with the Multibit 2 while they’re still around.

My Vali 2+ sounds really nice with a TungSol 6SN7, it's better with a Brimar CV4033

It makes the 6SN7 sound veiled
