The company that makes Texas Pete is in Winston-Salem North Carolina. At least they got the NC BBQ atmosphere right. Excellent army mess hall 'plate' and fine plastic utensils. Black, even. And the high capacity squeeze bottle of Texas Pete is always a good thing. I'll have to admit that Texas Pete is way better than North Carolina Pete.![]()

Hello the house!
One of the bestest things about Headphones and Schiit is that it allows you to say, "Hey! They're playing my song!" to the person it most matters to. You.
At the moment, I am listening to Karen Carpenter followed by some Sinatra, Ella and later on, some Monkees (aka, The Pre-Fab Four!).
Here's to BBQ, cardboard-constructed amps and... Life!![Beer Chug :beerchug: :beerchug:](https://cdn.head-fi.org/e/headfi/beerchug.gif)

What does it say about NC Barbecue that a NC Company has to call their product Texas Pete? The company that makes Texas Pete is in Winston-Salem North Carolina.

I suppose that no one would buy the sauce if it was called North Carolina Ned.What does it say about NC Barbecue that a NC Company has to call their product Texas Pete?
Apart from a HD 800 S, what would be a good headphone to pair with the Folkvangr? Just shopping around right now ![Headphone Smile :) :)](https://cdn.head-fi.org/e/headfi/smily_headphones1.gif)

Already got a pair of HD 6XX headphones. Sorry for not mentioning that!HD600/HD650/HD6XX (from Drop.com).
And I just thought it was a bit of a play on Texas Pit BBQ. Nope, Texans like hot food and Pete was the nickname of someone related to the inventor. All this useless knowledge thanks to Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_PeteThe company that makes Texas Pete is in Winston-Salem North Carolina.

Haven't received my Folkvangr yet, but I'll be pairing it with the ZMF Atticus. Any of the ZMF models should match up nicely electrically, but whether the sound is to your liking is of course a matter of preference.Apart from a HD 800 S, what would be a good headphone to pair with the Folkvangr? Too early to tell really. I think if you’re planning on buying a new pair of phones for it, I’d wait to see what the reviews say. At the price points you’re talking about, synergy is going to be important.Apart from a HD 800 S, what would be a good headphone to pair with the Folkvangr? Just shopping around right now![]()
That said, from what I’ve read so far the new ZMF Atrium and DCA Stealth pair up well, but both are pretty expensive.
