Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Lol, I am trying to change over to light beer to lose some weight. I cannot fathom drinking something like Coors light. I am trying Amstel Light and Flight by Yuengling. I am open to recommendations. :beerchug:
Actually been pleasantly surprised by Michelob Ultra Amber. A light beer with actual flavour. Also like English ESB, they are usually between 4 and 5%. Not a light beer as such, but not too heavy.

I'm right there with you on this topic. Single malts are for removing the finish from furniture, not for drinking. Tequila and occasionally mezcal, and red wine, are made for drinking.
Sounds like someone wants to start a TX/NC BBQ type conversation. Well played. :beerchug:
(you're wrong, BTW. Cheap whisky is a good finish remover. So is cheap tequila. Single malt is the drink of the gods. Premium Tequila not far behind. Just sayin')

per Jason, the vent structure (aka transformer "girdle") on the top cover is needed to keep the internals (e.g. transformer, choke, filter capacitors) cooler. direct stacking not recommended. consider using a sturdy rack / shelving to maintain at least a few inches air gap between units and on the sides where the heatsinks are.

about 7/8 the way down in this long and engineerese detailed post from Jason:

The Tyr manual is very clear:

The Expo Hall was a shell of its former self.
I didn't see any Schiit Audio. Salk speakers were being run by another setup.
Favorite setup of the day was Classe -> B&W 801 D4 demo.
I don't trust my memory anymore, but the vapors of my mind tell me that the headphones were in the Expo Hall in 2019. The Expo Hall seemed extra empty because they moved the headphones to their own space.

Need a 6by5ga tube rectifier recommendation for the linestage. I have a Philco, Tung-Sol, and Bendix (6x5).

Ordered a RCA that is marked 6by5ga on the plain white box. The tube markings have worn off. Is there a way to tell if a tube really is a 6by5? Tube came from AES.l
Thanks,
barondla

I must have missed that.
I saw Focal headphones in their very busy exhibit, but didn't know about a special headphone zone.

EDIT:
My memory is jogged and I remember a room in the tower with many headphones. It was packed, so thought about coming back.
Didn't realize it was moved. Bad idea. Too crowded in tower and elevators limit access.

Quick question:
I loaned a Modi / Magni 3 combo to a friend of mine (after he visited AXPONA 2022 with me).
He is a Apple guy. Does the Modi 2 (so, older one) need a firmware download for the Mac?

Nope. Should be good to go.

I did a search but don't know if it's been directly covered but... has anyone done a direct comparison on pi2aes vs usb/unison directly out from a raspberry pi 4? I know the 3 was a suspect usb out and the 4 is considered "fixed", but has anyone done a shootout?

I'm currently doing a pi 4 to BF2 but planning an yggy upgrade..

Also Cowen, add me to the nc bbq ally list, so long as we are talking the vinegar based eastern/central NC and not that mustard abomination South of the border...
