Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

We were driving from LA to Cochise Stonghold one winter a few years ago to go climbing. It rained the entire drive. We left LA in the evening and drove straight thru taking turns. 3 out of 4 of us were total pot heads. We are getting close and one pothead tells the other where to turn off the 10 and after a bit we are in Tombstone with border patrol everywhere! They woke me up to drive since I was the only sober one in the group at 5 in the morning. We headed back up to the 10 thankful that nobody got pulled over and arrested and finally ended up at Cochise. It is snowing like crap so we all pitched tents and went to sleep. Woke up later in the afternoon when it was starting to clear. We climbed in shorts and t-shirts the next day - which is of course why we had bothered to drive there in the first place.

Skin that smoke-wagon and throw down!! (OK it's not Sci-Fi, but it is from the movie Tombstone, so its greatness gives it a pass.) :D
God damn Tombstone is a good movie.

Speaking of good things, you guys ever have a night where your kids end up in bed super early and you just get to kick back and listen to music for like 4 straight hours?

In that vein, Starship Troopers is still a fave. Cheesy done right.
Ye gods, that film was abhorrently awful. Now the book, that’s another kettle of bugs…

I still have the paperback.
I do not care for bugs and I really hate spiders. "Starship Toopers" scared me. Worse still was a film called "Eight Legged Freaks". I think I died several times trying to watch it. Spiders....*SHUDDER*. There was an episode of "The Mandalorian" that had some sort of HUGE ice spiders. UGH.

I was not a very good negotiator tonight...but hey my kid was happy, and I'm used to losing sleep to get me time. Take the win where you can. @vinylguy87 congrats on the extended listening.

What albums did you spin tonight? Literally or Figuratively.
It was an eclectic mix for sure. Dave Brubeck, Lana Del Rey, Marty Robbins, Weezer, and Dashboard Confessional (I know, my ‘millennial’ is showing with those last 2). All literally spun on vinyl. May have also had some whisk(e)y to complement my listening session…
