TX BBQ images are considered art and can only be used under license. The printer had to go with plain ole NC BBQ Public Domain pics for the PPP (prototype pyramid poster).

I am now experimenting with purpleheart and Birdseye maple. A loaner for @AudioGal to check out. She knows tubes so I will have to include something nice. That looks incredible... I still have the burl table my Dad made 50 years ago

No that is the back of the amp, cutouts are for Neutrik RCA jacks and IEM socket with fuse and switch. There is a lot of sanding to be done so I just put some mineral spirits on part of it to get a sense of the color. I had just finished the spline work. I keep samples pretty simple but they allow for experimentation, if I mess the cabinet up, they are after all just samples. If I really mess up I have @Bcowen’s address.Phew! Even though I nudged the pendulum even further off center than normal it's nice to see the thread go back to audio stuff.
Nice work as usual @Paladin79! The purpleheart is beautiful. Am I seeing cut-outs for VU meters?
Ah, that makes sense. To save yourself a bit of work, you shouldn't bother including a return address when you ship it to @AudioGal.No that is the back of the amp, cutouts are for Neutrik RCA jacks and IEM socket with fuse and switch. I will most likely include a Melz 1578 (6SN7) with this one and maybe a vintage Svetlana or RCA power tube.
LOL it then goes on to a couple gentlemen in California, @AudioGal is capable of building her own amps and I want people to hear it along side a couple other amps and hear it with ZMF Verites, I listen with Focal Utopias myself and I am very happy with the sound but I am always open to new thoughts. If someone really likes this one I started another in spalted maple, and I will be working with catalpa soon so I may try for an amp cabinet in that.Ah, that makes sense.
