Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I got a kick out of building Dynakits myself starting with Stereo 70's and MKIV's and PAS3X and FM5 (I think it was). PAT5 and Stereo 120 too, always was amazed that they actually worked when I turned them on for the first time. Built a few for friends back in the 70's. And 2 or 3 guitar amps by Heathkit for some others. I was planning on an EICO kit build but never got around to it. ARC's SP3 / Dual 79B and Maggie Tympani 1U's stopped my kit building fever.

I would email Schiit directly and ask them...they have some LS50 in their listening room, so should know the answer. One of the things I like about Schiit is that they don't try to sell you something if it might not work.
I have Rag 1 + KEF LS50's.
In nearfield at desktop, so not sure how would work in a large room.
Volume is usually at 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock on high gain. Office environment, so I'm not cranking it up.

It's alive (again). https://www.schiit.com/products/sol

Keeping this low key, given all that's going on. No press releases, introductory sales, or fanfare. But it's back.

I also expect Tyler and Amy will be sending an email to the beta testers, letting them know about the mats and such. Please email amy@schiit.com if you have additional questions on the beta program.

@Jason Stoddard

I'm definitely interested in the Sol and have followed the beta testers impressions from various forums. Would you be able to share the improvements/changes that came out of the beta testing process? That would definitely help me with my purchasing decision.

Thanks!

That's a reasonable ask, but I'll have to get with Tyler for a summary. Lots and lots and lots of little things. So it won't happen right away.

I know the current description on the site is accurate, which is really the main thing.

For me, Hafler DH100, DH220 (with extensive mods, bigger toroid xfmr, 3rd party driver boards). sold the DH100 long ago, DH220 mostly collecting dust / serving as an aux heatsink for my Asgard 2 sans bottom feet that sits directly atop :L3000:.
