Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Jul 15, 2017 at 8:08 AM Post #21,886 of 153,817
So Monday for Vidar and possibly something else. That means Sunday night at Midnight, right? The New York Stock Exchange is in Eastern Time Zone, that means Vidar at Midnight Eastern right? So really if you are on the West Coast you be able to get these ordered before Monday!

I hope you all like my logic, of coarse I know nothing and just typed all that in jest.

At one point I was hoping to be first in line for a Vidar, but I just purchased a new Heat Pump/ Oil Furnace for the family, and a new tractor for my yard. I'm tapped out for now.

I hope to live vicariously through all of you crazies for the time being.

Good luck and remember patience is a virtue. One of the many I do not possess.

@Jason- good luck with the launch. I hope that this goes well for you and your company.

I wonder if Jason will ever do any live podcast type of thing for product announcements or other Schiit news.

You know like "Jason Stoddard Live from the Schiitr"...

I think that was the plan for Vidar, actually.

In his last update about the Vidar he said the live stream would probably be next Friday.

3. I expect we'll have a Schiitshow next week to stream info about the new products--I'd expect that will be a Friday thing, though. More on that later as well.

For those at different time zones or work conflicts, will the Schiitshow be available to view later i.e. YouTube or another source? Of course after it happens, depending on Jason's schedule, which sounds very very busy over the next week or two

I asked the same question and Jason's answer was that that is the plan.

Curious about going to the Schittr today. Wonder if Jason will be around. Maybe even see some black stuff.

Why do people keep harping on this?
1) if there's black stuff, it's because the aluminum finished was marred and it is literally a one-off
2) Schiit's mission is to provide high quality sound for the buck, without going overboard on the finish. Or as Jason puts it, paraphrased, audio sculpture.

Sheesh. You want it cheap, get it in the finish it comes with. I doubt the Schiitr will ever have black gear in it.

So...you guys wanna kill some time and show me your rack?
Audioracks only please.

I want to DIY it but I keep running into cablemanagement-issues, room for powerstrips out of sight and I decided I don`t want glass.
So it will be wooden but not sure if it will have 1,2,3 or even four feet and how to attach the plateaus (4 of them) and keep them somewhat decoupled at the same time.
And the goal is to keep cost at a minimum and buy more Schiit.
Google "Ikea Hack Audio Rack". Looks doable for the novice diy'r. I also like the racks from Timbernation.

Vidar will be available on day one in black. The black finish products are certainly not "a one-off". I suspect the Schiitr may have a black Vidar in it starting next week.....

Except that black finish is an ordering option on many items on the Schiit web store, and is becoming more and more a common offering from them. :L3000:
