This thread in itself is a great marketing tool. Every time I read a chapter I'm like "damn, Jason is such a cool guy, I'm gonna buy more Schiit..."

lol so true, I think the majority of us here do this

It's a good example of repurposing a word.
The word "gay" didn't acquire its homosexual meaning until fairly recently.
Where I live, the word "bugger" has always been a coarse synonym for "oops" or "damn it" or "person", depending on context. Then Toyota NZ came out with the following ad campaign:

(Note that the French subtitles translate better to something else...)

I really enjoy reading about Schiit, especially since the name "hit home". First time I read about Schiit I thought: "Schiit? Like ****? (since germans do say the equivalent to **** pretty often) Or like Schiit, after islamic denomination (Shia)? And why? But why then give the products names from the Snorra Edda?"

My confusion was pretty much perfect at that time.

So thank you for clearing all that up. Now I can buy one of your devices in peace

This thread is far more entertaining than most of cinema craps out there.

Thank you Jason for sharing your epic quest with us, in such an eloquent and instructive way.
By the way we are in a desperate needing of pictures ! Where are the vintage electronics and all the stuff you talked about !?

RAgnarok

Tomorrow is the announced day of the RAgnarok, much to the consternation of all norse god followers everywhere.

I figure that Schiit is gunna take advantage and claim that tomorrow is just a practice run, when they announce that Ragnarok is here at long last.

How about dropping all of this Schiit and leave whatever Schiit is lying around alone and just move forward,. This newest discussion about what to do is taking to more space than the brief Google diversion. Just Say'in.
