When I was a kid we moved house, and my parents bought a cardboard cat carrying box. About an hour into the journey a paw burst through, ripped a bigger hole, and then the rest of the cat was out. He spent the rest of the journey on mums lap, looking out the window.
Parents soon bought a proper, non cardboard, cat carrier.

I just picked up a Cayin HA-2A HP amp and I plugged it in the preamp out my Jotunheim 2. However, when I select preamp outputs on the Jot it doesn't mute the HP outs. Is this normal behavior? Do I really need to plug another pair of HP in the Jot while I listening on my tube HP amp? Please advise.

HPs are not muted with line out on Jot. If I understand your issue correctly, you'll just have to unplug the HPs from Jot.
