Silly, boy. There is no power switch. The insertion of the toast will engage the bread lowering mechanism and start the toasting process. It merely has to remain plugged in and will be in stand-by mode when no bread is present.

I wonder if it'll have a pre-out along with a HP jack?

Well, for the model with XLR, aka both sides, which has another toast pattern, the invert button is to select which one you like at the SE toast.
The second pattern is like this. All manual, no remote, sorry ... the mirror like casing reflects IR
