Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

My favorite thing about Schiit is that my wife likes the way the products look, so she doesn't mind them being on the desk.

By the way.. that would be my question to Jason - who did the industrial design? It's really good.

Just pulled the trigger and have ordered the Lyr 2, was tempted to get the Valhalla 2. I will now start saving up for the alpha dogs.

Yeah, I'm just going by the chapters here, but i thought Jason pretty much decided what the chassis needed to be in terms of form, fit, function, and cost, and presto! Two chassis designs for everything.

(Kind of ignoring Mjolnir and Gugnir, which are just larger, but Asgard, Valhalla, Lyr, and Bifrost all use a similar aluminum chassis, and Magni, Modi, Loki, and SYS all use a similar steel chassis. So two primary designs with moderate variations to get much use out of them.)

Will do, ASAP!!! Any advice on Lyr2 versus Valhalla 2?

I've liked most of Schiit's crap. Lyr really took rollin' to elevate its SQ. With these two revisions, I'm not sure. It actually sounds like Valhalla's pretty bad ass.
If you do plan on ortho's in the future I think Lyr 2 would be my pick.

But I'd really say -- buy 'em both. I want to know about this Wyrd Schiit. :)

I saw it today, it's basically a USB buffer, it injects power and reclocks the USB signal. It's the fix it device for people with USB issues. It won't magically make your system sound better but if you have issues with dropouts and USB fits it should solve the problem.
