No worries at all. I still catch myself getting aggravated at posts from time to time. But then I remember, 1: check the person's avatar/ signature, he may not be from a country in which English is the first language and 2: humor often doesn't translate well to the printed page (screen?). It's definitely easy to misinterpret intentions when you can't see the other person's body language, facial expression or hear vocal inflection.
I invite you to come to me for a few days.
I can cook you some meals and we kan take the time to stare in each others eyes.
Who knows, could be productive.

@Jason Stoddard for what reasons would you recommend someone purchase the Gungnir Multibit over the Bifrost 2/64?
Because:
Bifrost 2 sounds considerably better than Modi Multibit.
Gungnir Multibit sounds considerably better than Bifrost 2.
Yggy OG sounds considerably better than Gungnir Multibit.

The law of diminishing returns doesn't apply to most Schiit products. Pure and simple. Don't ask me why, though. Magic, maybe? Voodoo? Good engineering by folks who actually know what they're doing for a change?

(Can't speak for any of the TI Multibit products, haven't auditioned them yet.)

No pics, but here's a line drawing. Note inputs and outputs. You can switch USB sources to USB, or use it as a USB-SPDIF converter. Please don't call it a DDC, I hate the term. Someday I hope we'll blow that term up. We'll see.

I'm still to blame for all the industrial design. You should always include the opportunity for growth (and for better understanding what we can do with stamping, etc.). There are several fields I would never have been able to do anything credible with in pre-internet, pre-computer before-fore times. Design, marketing, advertising, branding, hell, direct sales--none of this would have ever been in my wheelhouse before. We live in incredible times. Take advantage of it!

That said, on the industrial design side...you ain't seen nothing yet. A number of upcoming prototypes have produced remarks like "I'd buy it just for the looks," and "looks like a product that's 2x more expensive than the previous one." We're gonna be pushing what we can do with metal fab in the USA in the very near term.

Moving the switch to the "other side" smacks of innovation........

Hoping to get the group's opinions. What do you consider to be the reference recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons? I "grew up" with the Telarc CD, how about you?

Not reference due to the "Recomposition" but a fine interpretation of the Four Seasons. I am a big fan.
Edit - as usual, someone (@rkw ) beat me to this recommendation already. Still a worthy listen.

Roon 2.0 w/ARC (remote device access) is out :)

I've been in the early access program. Worked brilliantly from day one. I have just been listening to music stored on my core in Pittsburgh, whilst on vacation in Wales. Also found it sounds better than the Qobuz app hooked up via USB in the car. Impressed so far.

Let's see…
- No CarPlay or Android Auto support. — And I wouldn't hold my breath, considering that they are a) "investigating support" for those, which is marketing speak for "we really don't want to, so let's wait and see how annoying users get over this before we commit any effort to it," and b) Roon is written for .net (a set of libraries that are not native to the platforms they run on), and at least for CarPlay (but potentially also Android Auto) they would have to re-implement at least the UI and some code in Swift using native libraries — something they completely lack any institutional know-how for right now.
- Offline-listening for local content only (i.e. not for any Tidal or Qobuz content)

In short: A major release (going from 1.8 to 2.0) for a feature that a TON of people asked for for years — which is fair — but that received — in typical Roon fashion — an implementation that is half-assed and unfinished at best. And probably buggy as all hell, too, for the next three to six months, if past experiences are any indication.

More new lipstick on the same old pig. They either can't do better, or they don't have to. Either way, it's really time they get some serious competition in the field.

(The usual disclaimer applies whenever I post something about Roon: I appreciate that some of you love this thing, and I'm glad that you do. More power to you. But as a seasoned software developer with a strong background in quality control and UI/UX design, the standards that I apply to the software I want to use personally are admittedly brutal, but still fair. I know how much better something like Roon could be done, for considerably less money than they ask for. And that just angers me.)

Got it, thanks! I guess I wasn't misunderstanding anything after all.

...I just had no idea so many people were into CDs
I am not 100% sure, but I believe that using the USB output of Urd will allow you to drive another Unison USB device at 384K... so I should be able to see the 8x multiplier light on my Yggy light up.
