Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

If a maple tree falls in the woods and there's no audiophile around to hear it, is it still the best sounding?
That obviously depends on whether the woods are tube or solid-state. I thought everyone knew that.

The wackiest thing I could think of was a Schiit Cassette Deck.

Personally I’m more interested in a trickle down stereo version of Tyr. Or maybe a full size dac/phono/preamp - like Ragnarok but minus the amp sectionI

I'm holding out for a Schiit AM/FM tuner.... 😉😉

Unfortunately Pyle is already a trademarked name in the audio world, although those of us who know understand what their products are a pile of. :)

Bond theme songs sure reflect the gestalt of the times in which they were released. That can be good, or it can be like those old photos of us with the "latest and coolest" hair style or clothes which we destroy so no descendant will find them. My all-time fave movie theme:

A superb choice, sir! Huzzah, indeed!

On speakers or headphones or both?
I've owned both revisions of Gungnir, I'd rank it above both at this point. Mainly due to tonality and presentation of detail.

This describes my experience with cracker barrel for at least 15 years. Eat food. Find bathroom. Pay Bill. Which is why I haven't been in one for 15 years.
Their bathrooms can't be that bad, can they?

There is no 'sap'. As I stated, there's no audiophile there. :smirk:

We are actually in CA visiting Jody's spawn, then up to Oregon for more spawn and grand spawn.
Jody had a class to teach yesterday whilst we were in Pasadena. Guess what's 25 miles away?
So I spent some time in the Schiitr.

I was deeply impressed with Tyr, especially the soundstage and depth, though the Magnepans they were driving were, to me, very bass light. I may get tempted if the market picks up a bit!
Is anyone is running Tyr with Tekton Double Impacts? I'd love to get your impressions on that combo

I should have asked the guys to swap the Magnepans for the Salks they had there. I'd also say that the Schiitr isn't doing Roon any favors with the number of crashes I experienced whilst searching for test tracks on Tyr. Music kept playing though.
I'm running Tyrs with Encores. Highly recommended pairing. I'd imagine DIs would also sound fantastic with the Tyrs.

Kind of an interesting dilemma for them. I suspect they may agree, and what we are waiting on is just speculation and god forbid people take me seriously.
