Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

And here’s the Urd (source: Audio Head on FB)
Thanks for the pic @tralsa
It looks very sleek :relaxed:
Jason said that he has started playing CDs again on his Urd!
Unfortunately, it has come too late for me- I got impatient and bought a Jay's Audio CDT2 Mk3- but I'll be really interested to hear what forum members think of the new Transport when they finally get hold of one.
The USB inputs are a neat feature, but I don't have a digital source with USB output, so this feature would be wasted on me.
I'm talking myself out of wanting one...

Why set limits? One can always be even more happily retired.

Yea, I'm suffering with a Sony UBP-X1100ES multi-disc player, as a transport. Pretty much covers everything I need. While the Urd is tempting, I'm not sure one is destined for my home. 😐

Watched the Schiitr talk yesterday and I'm a definite +1 for a Schiit RPi enclosure in a modi/magni matching finish and form-factor. It seems like a pretty light lift given there would be no config and testing -- just make, sell it, and ship it. (I know -- things are not always as they seem.) @Jason Stoddard did mention the possibility of something like that via Snake Oil, so maybe they'll collaborate.

Naturally it was in fun, I will show the actual work after Bill receives his amp back. Those who helped with the cardboard amp will see the process I go through. I will be using new woodworking techniques.
I'm just happy that woodworking will be involved this time. 🤣🤣

You'd better read that again, Bill. He said woodworking techniques. No mention of wood being used.

You sure you would not prefer some cardboard mini speakers instead?

Oh and here is a photo of the wood grain on Bill’s old amp.😜 E855B188-265D-4AEA-AEA5-AA1FF2CFF6D3.jpegA12B5B26-A044-4A63-888E-8EB691BAA191.jpeg
