Side note: I havent noticed issues with my grid power quality or other devices in my home causing electronic noise...however, I've never had giant audio transformers on par with Tyr in my house to bring such things out of hiding!

I've lived 10 years in this particular neighborhood, 3 different houses. Lots of different audio gear, just two exhibited transformer hum: a hefty Hegel H360 integrated amp (constant hum) in house #2, and a Holo May DAC, which has an insanely heavy power supply ((intermittent hum), in house #3. No transformer hum from the OG Yggdrasil, either in #2 or #3. A CMX-2 got rid of the H360 hum. Now if I could only find it... So I got another one arriving tomorrow for the May.

Thank you for the kind words. I learned a long time ago when playing competitive chess that no matter how good you think you are, go to Chicago and there are better players, go to New York and you are in trouble. It is best to stay humble and appreciate the game. I find happiness in simple things.
