Great idea, taking knives to a gun fight.

Finally, a joke my wife had not heard.
You saidSo it's a hybrid and It's not a dipole
I named the speaker (Janszens za2.1) and provided the measurements, as requested. Nothing about limiting the speakers to dipoles.name me the speaker that goes lower without 10% distortion (proven by measurement)
I have a REL Habitat, which is kind of fun. Wireless connectivity and placed at the back of the room to fight modes and provide a little extra grunt to the small subs up front.I would go for one of these:

There are some nice kit speakers out there that would benefit from your woodworking skills....Once I am in a woodworking mood I like to keep at it. lol I have the equipment out and set up and my shop is warm for a change. I have been looking forward to building things all winter. Also now I can do what I want when I want and I would just as soon be in the shop.
TAS loved the Klimax. I have the Akurate and it fulfills my needs just about perfectly. Some people think that the latest Linn Klimax DSM streamer is as good as anything else on the market.
At £30K here in the UK, I won't be testing that view...
I will have a read about Linn's 'Space Optimisation' though.
I have worked in speaker design but do not have the space at this time. Also most of my equipment is geared to smaller projects. Knife handles, amp cabinets, and occasional charcuterie/cutting boards. The start of todays project:There are some nice kit speakers out there that would benefit from your woodworking skills....
I'd say buy two smaller RELs, even better I think... say more ...
@bcowen is hoping its the start of his new amp cabinet (although he said tiger maple, not spalted maple)I have worked in speaker design but do not have the space at this time. This was useful and I think I'm going in another direction instead, changing my phono preamp to a Hagerman Trumpet MC. more options on replacements, more impact on my chain. The Valhalla 2 thread would be a good eyeball for you as it's the same two tube-types, 6N6P and 6N1P. Perusing that for fan favorites will yield you what the options would be for Folkvangr, exact amp synergy TBD. Your budget withstanding, even a decent buy (getting the Valhalla 2 at $399) while you wait to see if that's the *general* sound you want to chase at the $2K (ish) level the Folkvangr will probably come in at. Relative to other tubes like a 6SN7, there's not a ton of side-options out there.
Again, seems like I'm casting some shade on the amp and not at all the case......just a caution if someone is newer to tube amps, compared to the Lyr 3 the Folkvangr is going to be on the deeper end of the nervosa pool. This was built as a 10-tube monster to (in part) use up Schiit's inventory of 6N6P/6N1P....and with the Russian situation they way backed off on scale of production. Heck, it may sell out in minutes....so again, just caution on buying tubes early (though presumably whatever would work in Valhalla 2 ).
Sad but true!LOL! Not a bad idea at all, but I'm trying a new side hustle selling school supplies.
Very nice Wout! The dog (or cat) must be the main listenerSome pictures of Tyr
Tucked away behind the speaker
The both of them with the speakers moved forward in the "play" position
The man is trouble I tell you! In order for me to do another build for him I would have to find out how much Balvenie is available in Scotland, it may not be enough to get me through another episode with that guy.@bcowen is hoping its the start of his new amp cabinet (although he said tiger maple, not spalted maple)
In our case that is the dog AND 2 catsVery nice Wout! The dog (or cat) must be the main listener
