Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Can the Loki stack politely or do the inductors interfere with other nearby components? Would a sheet metal plate between the two stacked components mitigate any bad effects?

I want two special editions:
  • SpaceX Starship Steel
  • Tesla Cybertruck Steel
If it's hard to get steel finished properly for a 16x12 inch DAC, imagine the fun someone at Tesla must be having. You can tell that aligning all that steel isn't easy, either:

Its even worse for them - there are not a lot of stainless flat roll mills in the USA compared to carbon. I thought the lids from Schiit were aluminum which a completely different set of mills. I know they make the real thin sheets for cans at a mill in up-state New York, but that is all I got.
I 'll just leave this here

Agreed they covered the main types of meet but missed BBQ chicken. Thankfully no arguments about dry vs wet rubs, mustard vs mayo vs molasses base since they used a lot of non-traditional sauces.

And yes ribs are good!

There's a transistor shortage, so everyone has to settle for tubes. :sunglasses:
ROFL!!!

Wait.....settle? I'm pretty sure you meant upgrade.

I am impressed by the tubes Bill calls Frankentubes (7N7 tall body with specifics) in a Freya +, it had been a while since I heard them. Another not so expensive tube I just tried is the Melz perforated plate, oval mica, mica upper support. These can be found as low as $25 each, these are dated 1954.
I really like tubes that are older than me. Unfortunately there are probably only 5 or 6 left out there...

Search the world, there might be seven.😜

If a man who can’t count finds a four leaf clover, is he lucky?

Only if the tree falling in the unattended forest doesn't land on him.

Or back to audio: if you can hear something that can't be measured, does it really exist?

Ooops...

Does our measurement oriented "reviewer" have a device that can measure whether something sounds like ass?

None of those types have that tool or they would not recommend half the crap they do.

Makes me think about how much Apple is affected by that, and if so, how big the new M1 Max processor would be with tubes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You would probably have to own a few dozen nuclear power plants just to boot the thing :anguished:

I have mine stacked. Bifrost2 on Bottom, Lokius middle, Jot2 on top. Just took them out of the boxes and stacked them. No special precautions, no problems :). YMMV
