Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Here’s an interesting observation. Yesterday I was listening through my new Yggy and it occurred to me that my bass wasn’t sounding good. I have open baffle servo subs covering around 200Hz to 20 Hz. After a few different songs I thought about possibilities and then remembered I could try adjusting the phase on my sub amps. Boom! That did it! Its crazy that I hadn’t noticed it before with other dacs but Yggy is so damn transparent that it quickly became obvious. Pretty neat.

Interesting. What's the whole system??? 🔊🔊🔊

Dear Jason,

Yet again life has put me a little bit behind on this thread. It was compounded by certain factors. Well to be honest, it wasn't a little bit, more like about 150 pages behind. My effort to catch up was drastically hindered by Lokius! While this isn't Maximus which I've been lobbying for since the first Loki was produced it is a mighty fine piece of kit. Spent some time listening to music, so got further and further...and further behind on this thread.

I did however scroll through all the pages and not once did the subject of how to spell whiskey come up, or maybe I just scrolled over it. I did notice the return of cats.

Please keep your nose to the grind stone on Maximus and the Jolly Green Giant paper weight Tyr.

sincerely,

thanks for emptying my wallet once again!

Kitteh!

Sorry...I really like cats but our last two passed away several years ago and so far we cannot bring ourselves to start over yet. So I enjoy seeing photos of others cats. Thank you!

I thought you must have had GR Research speakers/subs. They're the only OB servo subs I know of. I like the BG/Bohlender planar mids and tweeters, in your speakers. My Martin Logan Fresco has Neo 8s and 3s. But still, I always wanted to hear the Neo 10s. I bet they're nice. Plus, those mono block tube amps are pretty sweet too!

Thanks for sharing! 😊

Finnegan.

Watching the Sopranos with me. He has never disturbed a wine glass or moved a piece as he walks across my chess boards.😺😺😺

The music from the Sopranos includes songs performed by Nils Lofgren, Nick Lowe, The Kinks, etc. " The Beast in me" by Lowe, is a favorite. Lowe also wrote "What's so funny bout peace love and understanding."

Thanks for sharing the pictures @Paladin79
I also like Nick Lowe's 'The Beast in Me'.
Another Nick Lowe song which I never tire of is 'Cruel to be Kind'

Yep, another good song. Lowe was related to Johnny Cash by marriage and they recorded together.
Cash recorded The Beast in Me as well.
