Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

G1 is a lotta coin for a box that's mostly air inside :)

Jason hinted at Saga S (gen 2) being something Nexus-based like Freya S, but in the (smaller) mid-size enclosure, so maybe you can get that for your next b-day. (or sell some extra gear. seriously. you have too many or's in your equipment list. seriously.)
The Auralic Aries G2 is £3,899!
It has slightly less ( no doubt rarefield) air than the G1 inside its case, which of course is ‘machined from a single billet of Aluminium’...
A phool and his money are soon parted.

Aluminium white gold bullion...

Maybe a slot loader. Most of the top loaders I've seen are more box like and larger.

There is nothing inherently wrong with a slot-loading CD player. I don't understand the opinions expressed above. Besides we do not yet know what sort of mechanism Schiit will use, so why jump to conclusions?

Deaf people are always cheaper out in audio.

(I couldn't resist giving you a cookie of your own dough. Childish I know. But that's the point here isn't it?)

The transport will use a drawer. No top loading. No slot loading.

Ah well. I was thinking that a slot loading mechanism designed for car stereo should be especially rugged and durable (needing to withstand vibration and heat extremes).

just dont use whatever GM uses....ive had 5 gm vehicles with slot loading CD players. they've all gone to hell after about 6+ years

The CD player in my car has an AUX port, which I use to plug my DAP into...
