Sorry guys, I wanted to light your brains one last time about the sars2covid19 pandemic.
One of the most respected intensivist Doctor Mike Hansen has a place on Youtube where you can find all relative information on this pandemic and hear it explained on a very mature and transparant way. It will give you insight and also debt on the American situation.
Go there and you will learn a lot.
Take care, Pietro: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSsLqxqvZsNXi0Z-VjN89A

I mentioned earlier in this thread, about a Gungnir upgrade. But, I don't want a MB upgrade, I want a D/S upgrade. It's a shame that something like the Bifrost 4490 DAC upgrade wouldn't work for the Gungnir? You'd just need 2, instead of one. Or thinking on that, a 4493 (or higher) card, would be nice too. A cross-platform DAC card, that would work in multiple DAC designs. More cost effective, as such, plus more upgrades options for us cheap audiophiles.
Nothing is thriftier than sticking with the gear you have (if it's not broken.)

Re Varejao17's post on coffee preparation:

My method is also not illustrated.

About once every three years, I get an iced coffee from McDonalds.

Before I get labeled as a blasphemer, my story is that I'm saving my money for my other more important hobbies. (If I can cut back to 1 per 10 years, I can afford those ZMF Verites in just ... computing, computing, computing ...)

I would have thought "drink 'n squat"! :smirk:

I guess it depends on how fast it goes through ones system. :D

I would be happy with some software to reprogram the Freya RC.
What do you want to change in the programming? You can also use a 3rd party programmable remote.
So an Yggdrasil stack?
Silly rich people.
Probably more common than you might think. Multiple DACs are needed for full active speaker systems that use digital crossovers feeding separate DAC and amp for each speaker driver. For some, Yggdrasil might be the budget solution.
