I put hot sauce on my fries to keep my wife from eating them. Self-defense mechanism of sorts.

Unfortunately, my wife loves the heat. Onions are her Kryptonite, so I've resorted to Ore-Ida crinkle cut chili cheese fries w/ onions!!

If you’ve never had Kewpie mayo you need to try it.

Never tried it. But even though it doesn't contain meat I'll give it a go...just ordered some. :)

Hellmann's has been my fave. Duke's (a southeastern US thing) is close and while acceptable for a spread is too oily for cooking. Kraft? Might as well just eat paste. Been quite a few decades since I (probably) ate some, but as best I remember the flavor is about the same. :)

Hellmann's for chicken salad and pimiento cheese (my version of Dad's formula, he was famous for his pimiento cheese). Duke's if without Hellmann's.
Fries with mayo is fine or ketchup or ranch, or malt vinegar or just salt, whatever/wherever.

Edit: Forgot Texas Pete hot sauce. Born in and made in northwest Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

A year? Many of them don't work right out of the packaging! The ones that worked had an average lifespan of a few weeks. Tips wouldn't stay in, springs would break, plunger would bind, etc. No problem yet with the Soldapullts. Plus tips are replaceable and readily available (all parts are actually available separately, and at reasonable prices.)

Update: their soldering tools are very good too (the terribly-named LONER irons). They're hideously ugly, but they kill Weller in terms of power. But they do cost a bit more.

I have a few Weller stations new in the box that are about 15 years old that should outperform some of their newer ones. Products get outsourced and the quality goes down.

I'd rather eat the paste than mayo or miracle whip etc...
