Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Opinions please.

I am building a new stereo rack using solid cherry and copper. Which looks better, shiny copper or copper with the blue patina. Either would be finished with a clear lacquer so the patina or shine are maintained. The flanges will stay black. Those are the choices so please do not suggest iron pipe or other colors lol. Well maybe a green patina, but otherwise this is it. Most equipment will be Schiit in the silver finish, some pieces in black.

As the Bostonians might say - STRAAIGHT COPPAH DUDE

@Jason Stoddard when is an Aegir style (Continuity) monoblock amp coming? 200-250 watts in 8 ohms doubling into 4 ohms, fully balanced will do just fine. My wallet is open and willing....
I'd be fine with liquid or dry ice or liquid nitrogen cooling :)

I apologize, I'd like to hijack the tread for few posts..no cats, no coffee. My speaker amp has failed,. it was an Adcom 555 Mk2. I've had it since 1990, but the quotes to fix are about 1000 dollars. My speakers are Legacy Signatures 3's. Their posted impedance.. sigh 4 ohms. The sensitivity is 93 Db. I'd like to buy Schitt amps (2) as a replacement to my Adcom. I don't think I listen loud, but not sure which of the 2 Shhitt amps are appropriate as a pair of monoblocks. I apologize for the hijacking..I don't drink coffee.

I’d try Aegirs run in mono assuming you have a balanced preamp.

The pre-amp would be either the Schitt Freya (orig) or an Audio Research LS-15 both balanced, and ty Sir for the response..

I love my mono Aegir’s!!

I haven’t found an impedance graph for your speakers. Provided they do not drop below 2 Ohms in the lower frequencies I would expect you would be fine. Given the efficiency rating of you speakers, power should not be an issue unless your listening room is the size of a gym.

+1 to give the Aegir’s a try.

Freya OG is good. Though the always on tube aspect didnt sit well with me. Happy to learn that the Freya+ was released this year. So my suggestion woudl be 1 Freya + and 2 Aegirs

Would love to see a pure Schiit mono block amp using the continuity technology that provides the finesse of the Aegir and the thump of Vidar. Definitely on my Schiit wish list. I'm thinking $500-$600 each is fair
Jason already responded to this question in the past, saying that the price would most likely not be below $ 1000.
But hey things can change with these Schiit wonder boys.
