And now for your progressive rock listening pleasure. The intro to the first song is worth the listen.
Enjoy!

Aha, so I've been doing it all wrong...  I'll stock up on the votive candles and such.
Because of rain my insurance adjuster cancelled so it is time to kick back with some music. Maybe some Bluegrass followed by some blues. While trying to make a list of vinyl records I might like for my birthday, I got to thinking about what would be the one vinyl record I would own, if I could only own one? Dark Side of the Moon? Neil Young’s Harvest, Moon Dance, Sgt Peppers, Art Pepper, Brubeck, etc. This is not easy.🤪 I can think of plenty I would not own but what is the one I would absolutely have to have?

That is an absolutely wonderful example of an album I would never own on purpose.🤪 I think I did find a couple under Metal in my FLAC collection but they were not there by choice.

Best?

I spent my 4 years down there chasing it everywhere… can’t even remember half of the names… but Kreuz Market was up there, as was Franklin’s, Coopers (in Blanco, anyways), and… hell, the local trailer guy in Wimberley… and everywhere in between down to SA, up to RR, out to Fredericksburg, and out into the farming flatlands to the east…

THAT is one thing I very much MISS about Texas (even in the - shudder - Summertime).

Folks, it really IS a “religion” down there… For a reason. I love me my Carolina-style pulled pork, but for beef… gimme Texas.
Only in Teaxas for a few days about 4 years ago, but did hit:

Smitty's and Kreuz Markets in Lockhart. Mueller's near Austin. All very good.

My first love is dry rub pork from Memphis stretching down to N. Alabama. Some of the places that were epic 15 years ago have gone downhill I hear, but new ones popping up all the time.

I don't have all the tools like a smoker, but I still can do pulled pork, etc. BBQ getting better in the Northeast but its almost always by folks that learned somewhere between Carolina and K.C..

Thanks, I've never listened to this. This reminds me... I was at a WHO concert in KC in the 80s. An airplane was flying around with a banner promoting an upcoming show by these guys... calling them "almost Yes".

Not so fast.
You could warp the Schiit out of it and turn it into a bowl for mixed nuts, :anguished:

It's been years since I listened to this album. Unless memory serves me wrong I went to the concert in Philly for this album. I absolutely went to the Union tour where old and new Yes played together.

Speaking of automobile oddities, I was looking for a new vehicle for my wife, and noted that at one dealer all the cars had a $2995 Dealer Installed option, so I asked "What is this?". Turns out it is a bunch of useless stuff like nitrogen in the tires, tints, etc., but the big ticket item that the salesman was proud of was the "20 year/100,000 mile non-transferable extended warranty". When I told him that all of that was useless and I had no intention of paying for it he asked why, and I said "Are you brain dead? How old do you think I am? [I will be 82 in July] ". I still  don't think that he understood.
I had a similar converstion as the introduction when looking at the Ioniq5. I told him that if theyt insisted on all the addons (I think about $1400) then I was walking right then and there. Needless to say, it went away quickly.

Since then, real estate rental folks have supplanted car salespeople at the bottom of my list. One wanted an $85 "application fee" in order ti view a house. And that wasn't the worst of them......

Sorry you are having such a bad experience, hopefully you find a house.

I would recommend this if you like Brubeck. I could listen to this on a loop all day.
