Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I am waiting for that to begin here. Can't wait. It has been a very cool and wet spring and I am ready for some warm weather for outdoor activities. I am going to console myself this holiday weekend with a lot of outdoor cooking. Revving up the smoker and BBQ for some good meals. Paladin79's idea for the fire pit is a good one too.
Yeah I hate to build a fire when it is 80 or 90, I have a six foot diameter fire pit and it will warm maybe eight people if not more.🤪 Steaks or paella over an open wood fire is for me. I have three wild cherry trees down on my fence line that will make wonderful fire wood for cooking. Inside I will use white oak for my wood stove. I had to find a before pic for our insurance.

On my deck I use a grill and flat top. With the power out here it was our main cooking source.

Nice fire pit! Good that you have alternate possibilities for cooking.Sometimes you end up needing them in emergencies.

I am going to redo our pit this summer. It currently has a metal ring and it needs to be replaced. I think that I will used bricks and pave the area. It is pea gravel now so pavers will improve things greatly. We also have a propane fire table under a gazebo out on the patio. I think that is where the action will be this weekend.

It is possible that in addition to the cooking there may be some bourbon involved.

Sounds very nice. We tend to do all kinds of drinks including hot buttered rum when it is really cool outside.🤪

Doing a final listen before early 60’s Melz go out the door. Chain is my server to Gungnir to Incubus and Focal Utopias.😉
So let me get this straight... your property was damaged by a TORNADO and while performing restoration efforts for yourself and others you are still doing projects and sending gifts to others? I guess this is why you have surpassed over 100,000 likes. Just wow.

Went for a 4 mile walk and it was 85 - not terribly hot but a bit toasty when not in shade. Rewarded myself to tunes afterwards. Didn't hurt that I had the ceiling fan on in the room.
85° is vile for this Oregonian. In Bend, it's a sunny 67° today and it is perfect. 😊

I'm not complaining. We're just a few weeks from 100+. That's when I start complaining. 😁

The decline of Western civilization; "mature" men wearing shorts...

Yes, I am wearing shorts too. :no_mouth:

Knobby knees unite! Wait, that sounds kinda weird...
I wear a dress shirt with shorts when I am working online... during COVID I only wore pants for funerals.

Listening to a JVC XRCD* (eXtended Range CD) and it's pretty darn nice. Does it eclipse MFSL CDs? 🤔

MFSL GAIN 2 CDs? Maybe. Moffat and Pass' GAIN 1 CDs? Hell No! 😁

* Victor Feldman - "Audiophile". Essentially his albums "Secret Of The Andes" and "Soft Shoulder" remastered and combined on a CD titled "Audiophile" for JVC's XRCD-series.

Ah, spinning disks. I can't wait until the mini-Urd is released. My old NAD CD player gave up the ghost over a year-and-a-half ago. Couldn't afford the full-boat Urd at the time, as much as I wanted one, but I have a spot reserved in my two-channel rack for its predecessor.

Brrr. I am freezing here in 65F coastal weather. Made me remember why we moved to AZ. Weather app tells me it is 100F at home today and I look forward to getting back.

Indeed. 7.2.4, with eventually Tyr F running the front mains. By my count will be running 8 piece Forkbeard stack by then (9 if Jord?). Will be a beast of a setup by fall-ish. Electricians just wrapped today on adding 3 circuits and surge protector) and drywall guy getting close. The real schiit was removing a 22x4' wall of mirrors, and scraping popcorn (80's built house)
Wet technique for the popcorn I presume? Wetting the material first makes it easier to remove and obviously, cuts down on dust. I’m sure you had loads of fun. :D

Gettin' ready for the weekend with new shoes (Puma) new tunes (on Qobuz) and the SOS (Same Old Schiit)...
Wait, same old? That's not very complimentary to Mike and Jason.
How about much-loved Schiit?
No, that sounds gross, even perverted...
How about reliable satisfying Schiit?
No, that sounds like I'm bragging about being regular...
Perhaps I should quit while I'm behind, as it were.

I felt bad for waiting this long to do the shipments.😉 I value friendships and there are some great people on here. Obviously one can’t get along with everyone but the people I respect always have my full attention.

You are one of them and I cannot recall ever doing anything for you, but I would.

As far as the tornado, it is a waiting game till an adjuster gets here and my lawn is dry enough next week for heavy equipment to remove trees. It will work out.
