Keep me in the loop next time something similar is in the works!
Will do, I was considering donating to the @bcowen cardboard sanctuary but I believe the state of Oklahoma shut it down.🤪

A small public service announcement:

Folks are still contacting me and asking to donate to Ripper’s VH3 but it is not necessary, all is paid for. I apologize if I missed anyone but a couple friends of friends also donated so I was not lacking for willing participants.😉

This is a great community of like minded people.

A most heartfelt thanks from me to all involved. (Both known and unknown)

I sat down at my computer with my first cup of coffee this AM and there, perched atop my BF2, was Valhalla 3. It was still there and not just a dream. Well, I guess it was sort of a dream - a dream come true thanks to the kindness of others.

I love you folks! There. I said it. And I'm not embarrassed by saying it.

Ok. Maybe a little. 😊

St Germain?

Cheers!

I think I listened to this album (and many more like it) about a bazillion times back in the early 2000s. Acid Jazz / Jazz Fusion / Groove Jazz / Whateveryawannacallit was a huge deal in western Europe at that time.

Jazzkantine, Nicola Conte (still a favorite of mine), St. Germain, Jamiroquai, etc., all played a big role in my playlists back then. Still do sometimes.

Edit:
This is, in essence, what Cologne at night sounds / feels like to me.
Man, listening to this takes me back…

What is that beer @MindBreak ?
It looks a fine pint!

Here in the UK, my favourite beers, in no particular order, include:
Bass
Fuller’s London Pride
Young’s Original (was previously called ‘Ordinary’….)
Guinness
Marstons Pedigree
Theakstons Best
Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
Copper Dragon Best Bitter
Dark Horse Hetton Pale Ale
Wincle Waller
Can't remember the name at the moment, but it was a nitro English pale ale. The beer I used to get at the place below was Wells Bombardier, but they stopped carrying it.

The Wrecking Crew, also known as the Clique and the First Call Gang, was a loose collective of American session musicians based in Los Angeles who played on many studio recordings in the 1960s and 1970s, including hundreds of top 40 hits. The musicians were not publicly recognized at the time, but were viewed with reverence by industry insiders. They are now considered one of the most successful and prolific session recording units in history.

The Wrecking Crew is a 2008 documentary. I do not recall which channel carried it. I am currently in negotiations for a couple tone arms but I can check later.

When it becomes a classic, it becomes ageless...eternal...infinite...Tourist definitely is.
It's always funny to me to read comments, like...after all these years it's still fresh, new...like it's meat. :)
Art is not a trend...once great, it's forever great. :)

Enjoy St Germain, drink and music! :)
Honestly, I don't even know about St Germain/drink

Cheers!

I came across this as I searched for ST German Tourist. Something not too interruptive as I dismantle an old turntable.

The wife and I attended a pre release screening of the movie at Mo’s Fullerton Music store. Got to meet Denny Tedesco in person. Nice guy. Had an excellent chat with him and scored a cool t-shirt

Amazing🤪 I loved that documentary and it was so great that they got such credit after all those years. I may try to watch it again this weekend.

@Verde And Black Hm, well, the rum blend is this 20th Anniversary Plantation rum is supposed to come from barrels that are 12 and 20 years old. Does that qualify? Enjoy the convention! (And that's a fine McGhee record. Nice rec!)
