Just dropping by to say that the Yggdrasil+ GS2 combined with my Luxman L-590 AX2 is really a impressive combo!
If it's the class A, the Qobuz-stream or the moon's aligning, I don't know.
But yeah, you know you hit the spot when the music plays and you just sit there and enjoy while smiling and excited. For now, that really is fine.
I was listening to Qobuz last night, with my Yggy+ GS2 that I purchased last year (12/02/2023). This DAC still amazes each time I listen to it. Thank you Schiit!
I know I love mine. I keep thinking no way this could get any better and then Jason mentions Singular for Yggy and it kinda came across as being potentially a bigger deal than Multiform for Yggy.
There may be an Yggy + upgrade in my future but for now I'll just keep on enjoying the audio Bliss that it is capable of delivering.

As a new Yggy owner, I probably will hold off on any upgrades for a while (mine has yet to reach its final form ). The upcoming upgrades for the Yggy are very interesting though, and I can't wait to read that chapter once it is posted.
As for my BF 2, I will most likely take advantage of the trade-in program once multiform and FB get added (yes I will still be using my BF 2 in another system).

I am in the queue to get my Yggi+ LIM converted to the MIB. However, one of my use cases for the LIM is for the RAAL SR1a phone and the LIM is a great match for it. I recently got the SR1a (for the second time) after I was in the MIB queue and had forgotten that a warmer DAC is a good thing with the SR1a. This is in my office with Magnepan Mini as the other use case for the LIM. Both are connected at the same time to the LIM.
The Yggi+ OG that I have in my Livingroom (and my best DAC) is a bit fatiguing with the SR1a. It is better than the LIM on the Magnepan Mini speaker. I was thinking the MIB could be the "the just right:" option, somewhere sonically between the LIM and the OG for both the SR1a and the MIni.
Can you tell me what the Singular for Yggi+ entails? Is that a FPGA based design that I may have read about somewhere? What are they trying to accomplish with Singular that is different from the current design? I am wondering if I should just hold off on the MIB conversion and see what the Singular is all about. Of course, I could procrastinate forever like this, but the LIM is rather good, so it is not a great sacrifice to wait (but for what).

+100 - the choke power supply is magic. The fact that Tyr got the Absolute Sound magazine's "Budget Product of the Year" this year speaks volumes. (Ha!)
I am pretty set for 2025 other than a new tube phono preamp. I have plenty of headphone amps that I am using less and less. Multiple power amps, preamps and DACs. I will be interested in anything new and exciting but thus far ForkBeard would not get used. I could see it as a means to update gear perhaps or switching between turntables.
