Perhaps my brain is just being a doofus after a long day sampling product at work, but the OP needs a single input split into two outputs and the Sys is the opposite of that -- 2-in, 1 out. Will the Sys essentially function in reverse in that case?
FTFY. 🤣 🤣

Short answer is yes! You're basically flipping the ins-outs, which is why you put gain at max. The PCB doesn't care which "direction" the signal passes through.

Yup. With volume all the way up.

I have my Mani 2 and Modi MB2 going in, and just push the button to switch between sources, with volume at max.

EDIT: misread. Works both ways. No electronics in the way.

Hi guys, back here asking for advice. I was waiting for the new Gungnir 2, but now I noticed this version no longer have 2 rca outs on the back. My question, I have a Woo audio a2, and a Line Magnetic 805 integrated, both only have RCA in, what would be the best option to connect the new Gungnir to both at a time, use the RCA out directly to one amp, and any kind of XLR->Rca adapter to the other, or get a RCA Split Box like Mapletree LR1 Line Router / Decware zen switch box / Little Bear MC3 to split the signal?

Thanks a lot in advance.

PJ
Not cheap, but can be richly satisfying. DIY your own balanced to unbalanced traffo-box using Lundal LL1948 or Cinemag CMLI-600/600C transformers. Costly and easy to mess up. That's why it's the best option.

Sys, being totally passive, can work either way.

Nice! I have never, not once, not liked every and any VPI table I’ve heard over the last 35+ years… preferences? Natch, but they are great tables.

Arms matter equally in my experience; for example, the pinnacles of perfection in the Souther TriQuartz linear arm on a VPI were hindered by a sub-optimal 20-40hz range… the rest? Exquisite. Slam? Nope, never.

As far as the Hana Umami, I can hazard a guess, based on my experiences with that ā€œfamilyā€ of cartridges over the years (from AQ through Lyra to Hana; there’s a lineage over the decades, I’m certain I’m forgetting a few other waypoints)… is going to be a very good sound. Winds are going to sound properly breathy, strings will shimmer… bass (acoustic!) will be realistic. Slam on amplified/artificial ā€œtracks of todayā€ will be sub ā€œoptimalā€ (I view that as a feature).

Play that Scheherazade and decide. Perfect LP for an Umami (jealous!) / VPI… bet it’s good
Music is most likely already decided and the folks setting this up generally deal with the higher end Hanas and VPI’s. This is a new production table so it may have little to do with those from the past. One of my trusted colleagues said this setup is to die for and he uses our group’s test recordings when in doubt.šŸ˜‚

Got spouse approval to upgrade the sub today on a Black Friday deal, and while I normally shy from the crass consumerism of these things, I clicked fast in case there was a change of heart.

Bout to find out if there really is no replacement for displacement and really can’t wait. My little Velodyne mini is really musical and I do love it, but the recent relocation created some space to bring on a 12ā€ woofer deal that’s supposed to dig down to 20hz (+/- 3db). Already arranging some test tracks into a playlist for when it shows up next week.

Bring the boom!
The boom has been brung.

Despite showing a visual representation of the size, when I got it into place, spouse was a bit uncertain about the actual size of the thing.

Then I went to a dinner meeting and came home to her curating a bass heavy playlist.

So I think it’s staying!

Still need to dial in/tweak the crossover and level settings, but this thing digs deep.

I do keep a Vali 3 and Bifrost on my desk in case I want to use headphones. I have owned all sizes and still keep a few around.šŸ˜‰
BF + Vali 3 is an excellent combo for headphones, so I guess you are all set when you have the urge to use headphones (as rare as that might be  ). I haven't been able to sit down for a listening session for a few days, and I am also playing catchup on the this thread while using the mentioned combo.

A little bit sad to see the Rekkr go, I have one and it’s an excellent pairing with my older Schiit - a Modi2U and a Magni3, together with a set of small speakers they made a very nice near field setup!

Also a bit surprised about Kraken - feels like it hadn’t been more than just introduced before it went.

But I get it, they didn’t sell too well, and that’s the way it is. I think it’s a loss though.
At least Jason put them up for sale to give the new products a chance. Schiit is good, but not all products will be winners.

Arrived in cold and rainy Amsterdam today, leaving behind the start of Summer in Australia! 16500 kms to see a band, we must be loco.

Going to try and visit Headphone Auditions and Concerto on the weekend - and maybe come away some new cans, and hopefully some additions to the vinyl collection. Looking forward to seeing Within Temptation on Friday evening, and trying out the Loop Experience earplugs.

Exactly, it is nothing more than a physical switch and an attenuator. Set attenuation to zero, wire it up and use it ā€œ backwardsā€ā€¦
