We should not forget Maurice Jarre, Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago et alia.

And John Barry. Dances with Wolves. Great score.
Somewhere in Time - a beautiful piano/orchestral work.

Basically we need to open up a cinema - old school projector - traditional stalls with simple popcorn and a red velvet curtain. Dedicated to classic movies of the 20th century.

I'll make the popcorn. At least I know how to do that...

I would be hard pressed to think of a greater opening 14 minutes to a movie than that of Once Upon a Time in the West.

Excluding 'Saving Private Ryan', perhaps.

My most favorite Supertramp album. I liked Breakfast in America, but it paled in comparison to Crime of the Century for me. A bonus is the LP I have is extremely well recorded...

Alan Parsons was one of best sound engineers in the business.

Beatles: Abbey Road.

Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon.

Ambrosia debut album.

Very talented guy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Parsons).

I saw him in concert a few months ago. Great show but sadly health wise he didn’t play or sing much. But the band he assembled around him was fantastic.

He’s still putting out music as recently as 2022

Were you suggesting adding dither when ripping at 16 bits or at higher bit depths?
My DAW software didn't allow for dither to be added during ripping. When I've used dither, it was always applied when burning a CD-R, after mastering. Though, the bit depth of the data didn't matter, as different forms of dither could be added, regardless if the file was 16 bit or 24 bit.

100% agree regarding Once Upon a Time in the West
Leone and Morricone and the actors at their best.

Agreed. I often spin my MFSL LP and am awed by the quality of sound a well mastered and well pressed vinyl LP can render.

There are albums where direct-to-disc recording, 100% virgin 1/4" thick vinyl, absence of compression / 'gain riding' would not save hideous performances. Here's one:

You know I had to throw a Jazz selection in...

Sit in your comfy chair with your favorite beverage and enjoy!
