Wait, that's a picture of a PSVANE CV181-T MKII? It doesn't look like my PSVANE CV181-T MKII.
Your are right! Copy/pasted the wrong line from my tube spreadsheet lol

This is the 6SN7-SE, will edit!

Perhaps I need more burn-in time, but the CV181-T MKII sounded much better to me...

Beautiful Music!
$19.95....

A few years back, I had the chance to buy 50,000 of these for about $10,000...should have done it. Argh.

Notes to past self:

1. Paint everything
2. Make all 6x9 products 1/2" larger on each side
3. Make all 16x8 products something like 14x9 (less important, but still, while you're at it...)
4. BUY ALL THE TOOBS. Well at least deals like the above.

Glad to hear! As with before, I made the same selections for myself so perhaps I will open the same tonight!

And perhaps some more strategic 5998/6080 rolls are in order with the Melz, sent you a PM.
About to have dinner or I would go into power tubes more.😁 I also apologize for being very opinionated about specific tubes in the Incubus, that is my baby.

I hadn't considered he might be lying to me. After reading about Bowmoreman's weekend with his CD player run through the Yggdrasil and how good it made it sound, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I wouldn't use a CD player. I would use a DAP. Which ShiitTalker assured me I could. Lol!
Sorry couldn’t help as have zero experience with DAP’s ( I looked em up though). IF your’s is able to put out digital PCM at Redbook standards, then you can pump it into Yggy.

HTH

But now 2 weeks in, Yggy on my CD’s is epic

None needed, we all have ears, opinions, and some other things!

Always like a good excuse to revisit past impressions also.

I prefer the accuracy of large groups. Notice how many are liking the GE 5670’s, even Cowen may have to try one just to see. 🤪

...I have 5 (really 8 total) cerwin vega (15 in woofers) in storage. ...
Technically, all the speakers in an HT setup are supposed to be "full range." I think that means down to 30-40Hz? In that sense, your 5 (8) speakers are perfect!

The subwoofer in an HT setup is a separate channel so you'd still need a sub. The specs say it should play up to 120Hz and it's up to you how low you want it to go.

My better HT setup is 3 full range LCR speakers, 4 weenie surround speakers with 3 subs to help them out, and 2 dedicated subs for the sub channel as one coupled unit.

My other HT setup is 7 weenie speakers, 2 subs to help the LR (one each), 3 subs for the sub channel.

I'm addicted to subwoofers, I fear....

Thanks for this! And... I can probably be persuaded to eventually add a sub to the system when the budget allows
