I noticed on at least one mp3 played back on the saturn that it sounded like compression artifacts, which I only noticed when I turned up the volume higher. Quite strange as it was averaging 224kbps and a very simple part of music. I then checked the file on my computer and it played without this artifact. So I took that mp3 and decoded it into a wav to burn to CD and then the saturn played that without a hitch.

So it seems the saturn is incompatible or has bugs with some mp3 encodings. It is not a gross error as it mostly sounds ok but on the micro level there was some strange anomalies. I guess that means no more mp3 listening for me with the Saturn now knowing all the music may be compromised more than it needs to be.

I didn't notice any forementioned issues with my machine. YMMV I guess

I wonder if it's legal to post a music clip here. If anyone knows if it's ok and who I can use as a host, maybe I can create a sample that you can try on your saturn/apollo to see if you guys get the same issue.
