Check her out, people. I saw her live on friday night and it was a really fun time. Half new compositions, half new arrangements of old standards, and they're really fun rearrangements, combining both reharmonizations, metric shifts, and light stylistic shifts. It's vocal jazz + piano trio (Josh Nelson Piano Trio with Erik Kertes on bass and Matt Slocum on drums.) See her live if you can. Any one of the players in the trio are also musicians to keep your eyes on if you like this kind of music.
