Sanding the ATH-ES7

Hello.

I bought a pair of ATH-ES7 for my wife on her birthday. She is happy with them, but she feels that the get scratched easily.

Does anyone here have any experience in sanding down these, to make the finish matte instead?

why not use invisible shield or bestskinever?

they have allready been scratched.

Maybe you can disassemble them and either, a) use a chemical solution to strip them, or b) have the relevant parts sandblasted.

I know people around here have had success removing the finish from some headphones with a chemical solution.

1)apply pressure to the wound
2)disinfect the area
3)bandage

they are so damn pretty as they are... ..

I just keep them in their velvet like case, and I carried them everywhere with my laptop!...

No, it's not that she did not like the finish, she was just sad that she scratched them a bit... but, looking at it now, it's not really that bad, at least when you do not know what you are looking for.

She is going to be more careful with them from now on
