I was wondering if any locals would be up for doing a temporary swap for some gear? It would be fun to try out some different cans for a week, and we could do it without getting covid 19!

Any interest? I have a sdr modded hd800, a Lawton modded e-mu teak, a fdx1 iem, and a diy alpha dog. I’d be interested in hearing something by zmf or hifiman (But I’m sure there are others!)

it would be nice to try before we buy, as there really isn’t anywhere to do that within 2 hours drive!

What driver tubes have you paired?

My favorite pair is a western electric 421a power tube...that's the easy pick. For driver tubes my favorite is a amperex slant getter welded plate from the early 50's. You're still welcome to borrow the amp for a bit!
