Okay I've replaced a 30gb hard drive in a white 5th gen (not 5.5 gen) with a Samsung HS081HA 80gb. The problem I am having is that the drive is very slow. It took over 14 hours to load 32gb of music to it. I have tried doing a restore twice but this has not helped. The drive inside is brand new and I have also replaced the battery & clickwheel. Has anyone else installed this drive inside of their Ipod and ran into this problem? If so what did you do to solve it? I'm using this drive because I wanted to keep the slimness of the Ipod without using the 80gig back plate. Any suggestions from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated.
