No matter what I do I just can't make these SR850's fit well enough to use for more then an hour or so at a time, which is a shame cause they sound awesome.
 
I need recommendations for a replacement set of head/ear phones used mostly for gaming and music. They do not have to be portable as they will not be leaving my office.
 
Comfort is first priority, followed very closely by sound quality and sound stage / positional accuracy. I do not want "in the middle of your head" effect. I'd like to keep it under $150 ish.
 
I tried a pair of the AKG K67 on-ear cans, they sounded pretty good, felt pretty good, but I could tell they would last about a month before they snapped.
 
My sound card is the Sound Blaster Z for what it's worth.

Been reading some reviews on the Philips X1's - Are they worth the $250? How does the sound quality compare the the Samson Sr850's, i.e., will I be "blown away?"
